Tone, my neighbour to the west picked up this postcard for me on her trip to Trondheim
This postcard arrived shortly after the last one in a letter from Valériane in France. It shows the wood carvings on churches and chapels around Brittany. The top one is in Notre-Dame-de-Crénéan en Ploërdut, the middle is from Saint Thomas church in Landerneau and the bottom one is from the Notre-Dame-du-Tertre chapel in Châtelaudren.
This stunning sunset (?) is a view over Nantes in France, and im guessing a cathedral or church there. This postcard was sent to my by my French penpal Valériane.
This was a long slender postcard so hard to get the detail in one shot, but my photography skils are clearly lacking anyway – so here is a closer look.
This great multiview postcard is from Tone in Norway. The back of the card says the views are of Geiranger, Reine (Lotofen), Preikestolen (Lysefjorden), Trolltindene and Loen. These kinds of views are EXACTLY the reason I’m longing to visit Norway!
I recieved this beautiful postcard from Joana today, it’s a picture of the Church and Clérigos Tower in Porto, Portugal.
Well my Dad has really outdone himself this time! I recieved a bunchful of postcards today from his latest trip to Mexico that lasted two months while he was working on the conservation of baby turtles.
If anyone could translate the last two postcards I would be very grateful :p
This piggy postcard doesn’t technically come from Åland but from my friend and penpal Iina in Finland. The card says in Swedish – ‘Here one has it so fine’ and as Iina says it sums up how she feels in her new flat, Happy New Home Iina!
This postcard of the Apostles Peter and Paul was sent to my husband from the Swedish church when he finally got round to sending the form in to leave. It’s a picture of an iron grate in the tower arches of Strängnäs Cathedral.
