This series of Icelandic volcano postcards was sent from my wonderful buddy, Beck!

The island Surtsey was created during the submarine eruption in Novermber 1963 off the south coast of Iceland.

Kröflueldar – Fire from the bowels of the earth.

Krafla – an area of great volcanic activity. The eruption pictured began on the 4th and lasted till the 18th of September 1984.
